The purpose of this policy is to establish the district responsibility to prevent and report accidents or dangerous conditions, and to prepare students to make wise choices in the face of risks.

The purposes of this policy are to provide guidance to school district staff and parents in the event of sudden illness, accidental injury or emergency situations and to establish the district policy with regard to Do Not Attempt Resuscitation or Do Not Intubate (DNAR and DNI) orders

The purpose of this regulation is to establish the characteristics of the school meal programs.

Health Education and Staff Well-being

Establishes the responsibility of the district to assure faculty has the necessary health education information for instruction, and establishes staff wellness and well-being standards and programs.

Non - Meal Program Food

The purpose of this regulation is to establish the rules surrounding food offered or sold outside of the district meal program.  It encompasses food as part of the curriculum, snacks, concessions, school stores, vending machines, school and classroom celebrations and fundraising

Communicable Diseases Affecting Students
 

The purpose of this policy is to adopt measures to address public concern that students of the school district be able to attend the schools of the district without becoming infected with serious communicable diseases.

Communicable Diseases

The purpose of this regulation is to establish the procedure for education planning for a student with a communicable disease.

The purpose of this regulation is to establish the district procedures regarding precautions, staff development, prevention and programs regarding communicable and infectious diseases.

The purpose of this regulation is to establish definitions that apply to Policy 6691 (Communicable Diseases Affecting Students) and its attendant regulations.

Student Medication

The purpose of this policy is to set forth the provisions that must be followed when administering medication to students at school by school personnel.

Responsibilities for Student Medication

The purpose of this regulation is to establish the parental, school, and district nurseing services responsibilities regarding student medication to be given at school.

The purpose of this regulation is to set forth the provisions that must be followed to qualify for the self-administered medication exclusion.

Permission Form - Student Self Administration of Medication

This form is filled out by the Student, Parent, and Health Care Provider to permit students to self administer certain medications permitted by Regulation 6692 B and Minnesota Law.

The purpose of the regulation is to establish the rules for administration of student medication outside of school hours during school sponsored, directed and supervised activities.
