Recent Changes to Policies made by Board Action

March 10, 2015

At its regular March 10, 2015 meeting, the Board of Directors took the following Board Policy action:

  • Amended Policy 1692, formerly titled Shared Leadership for Continuous Improvement and renamed it School Site Councils
    The amendment completely revamps the former policy that was last revised in 1992.  Changes result in an emphasis on the representational nature of the site council, reflecting the diversity of the student body and the staff, and clarifies the role of the site council in school governance.

The Superintendent has promulgated Regulation 1692 A - Site Council Governance to give schools the essential ingrediants of their governing document (By-Laws) by which they will operate their site councils, and how site councils will address community concerns and complaints.
