On January 11, 2011 the Board amended policies 8140, Election of Officers and 8300, Duties of Officers to add the office of Vice Chairperson, and to define the duties of the office, and revise the duties of other officers in light of this change. The amendment of 8300 also includes the establishment of the Board's Executive Committee consisting of the elected officers and the Superintendent.
On April 13, 2010, the Board amended policy 8115: Membership and Quorum to remove all references to vacancies in Board Seats, and adopted NEW policy 8116, Vacancies on the Board to address the issues of vacancies.
On February 9, 2010, the Board amended policy 8210 : Meetings of the Board of Directors to add materials relating to records of closed meetings.
